Weapon Lengths

Weapon Lengths

Sorry I took so long to post this, finally drove down and pulled them out of storage for you and measured some of the basic weapons. Some of the exotic ones like the axes and kamas don't really have set parameters. Just use common sense where you can. One of the other reminders I will stress is to not wrap the tape super tight around the padding, it will steal a lot of the give of the protective covering and take away much of the benefit of padding it in the first place.

H = Handle

B = Blade *Tip included, make sure to have a good stabbing tip, this is one of the most important factors of construction.*

Basic Sword
----===============
B = 25 Inches.

H = 7.5 Inches.

Dagger
====---=========
----========
B = 15 Inches (Big dagger, I know.)
6 Inches (For the ones that have blades on the handle, down.
H = 4-5 Inches.

Rapier
----+-------------===
B = 31 inches (Stabbing only, so it has a larger stabbing tip)

H = 6 inches

Polearm
===----------------------------------=====================
Entire length = 86 Inches
B = 28 inches (Heavily padded, but make sure it isn't 'too' heavy.
H = 58 Inches
(Add a counterbalance to the bottom, either padded like a dagger or not.)

Hope these help, and again, sorry for the delay. I'm afraid most of the off season, this stuff is pretty much packed away.

Great, thanks alot. On a

Great, thanks alot. On a side note is their mesurements for the staff as well, im guessing its about 60 inches overall but im not sure about the handle and "blade" parts. sorry if i sound ungrateful but i was just courious.

isn't the polearm the staff?

isn't the polearm the staff? err...thats what i thought it was.

yes and no, the polearm is

yes and no, the polearm is more like a spear or naginata, its the marshall weapons. the staff was the grandchamps favored weapon.

Geh, totally forgot to

Geh, totally forgot to measure a staff, sorry. I'll do so this afternoon. At work right now. And yes, the pole arm is the marshal weapon. I added that for your personal use since it is largely a special event weapon. The blade-staff, essentially two swords end to end, is the normal combat weapon.

What about the Kama?

What about the Kama, Axe, and Mace?
