Security is now Safety

It's your friendly neighborhood Security Director here to inform you that in order to sound less like forboding, power hungry, and over the top Security Staff we'll be changing our name to Safety Staff. Because that's what we're here for anyway. Your safety. So if you hear "Walk please!" You know that it's us just doing our job.

Anything put out prior to this thread as far as rules and guidelines will still remain in effect. Safety Staff will be there to help you when you need it and keep you out of trouble if you're heading in that direction.

As the Convention Safety Director I want everyone to have a good time. That's the idea of having everyone come to Oni-Con anyways. But this does not mean to neglect your own safety. The bare minimum of staying fully clothed at all times, not running, and not screaming incessantly goes a long way and tells us that you're mature enough to be left alone.

If you have any questions at all about what's going to happen at the convention you can PM me and I'll answer your questions to the best of my knowledge. During the convention, if you have a need to inform someone of unsafe acts then you can come to us or come directly to the Security room next to Main Events.

If we get attacked by aliens -- we're all screwed so don't ask us for help. We'll be running downstairs. You can follow us if you want.

But seriously we want you to be able to approach us. We're not going to talk to you like you're weird or annoying. Unless you are. But we'll still try to be nice to you.

Please don't mistake kindness for weakness though. I don't appreciate people who simply just want to ignore the rules and undermind authority. Be mature and Mature people help your non-matures by telling them right from wrong.
