2008 Oni-Cade New Additions

2008 Oni-Cade New Additions

it's a little early since we have not even announced next years date but thought I would start the new addition lists.

Well I finally got an upgrade to my KeyboardMania 2nd mix to a 3rd mix

going to part this out. total cost should hopefully be within the $500 range.

Note: Came out to almost exactly $500 at $496. Should have all the parts by end of the month.

song list can be found here

As an additional note. I was preping my 2nd mix for the upgrade and checking the cable connection and noticed my I/O cable was a little loose. I secured it and low and behold my Neons lite back up and some of my strobes started to work. I am also getting more sound now (think I was missing a channel). It's like a brand new game Smiling I just wish it did not weight 500lbs to move around Smiling Still looking for the Guitar freak and Drummania to hook into this.

OK, Got all the parts in

OK,

Got all the parts in and installed so here it is

I am probably more excited about this then most people. The parts shipped in from Canada in less then 1 week. I have enought parts left over to rebuild anything that breaks, but hopefully will not have to.

One thing to note is it has 38 songs and 2 hidden. it carried over 5 songs from the 2nd mix and 5 from the first Keyboard Mania.

It kept Saber dance and Akumajo Dracula Medley which seemed to be the most popular people played. It lost Sun Beam though and manhatten sports club which where the ones I liked. Oh well I can always reprogram it if I really want to play those songs again.

the graphics and hits are a bit spurced up as well. also seems to have more modes of play.

oh, and It came with the Multi session Panal (which I did not have before) but need the other games to hook it up.

Beatmania III Append 7th Mix

Well I know it is not the latest IIDX cab but I did manage to get a good deal on a III appended 7th mix cab. I blew out both my arms loading and unloading it off my truck but I should have time to clean it up tomorrow (if I can get it all back together) and supply pictures. Provideded everything is working ok (as it was before I picked it up) I will be bringing it to the show this year as well on free play of course Smiling got a fairly good deal totaled out at about $520

going to be busy

The beatmania III is going to need some work. so far

The CD-rom is acting flaky
The Monitor is of kelt
one of the Molex connectors is GONE
not sure about the Floppy drive yet
Several screws and such are missing

Right now it is not booting up all the way (was booting up at show). however never fear I have a complete Firebeat hardware set with all the stuff I need (except for the molex connector) along with some other spare hardware laying around. I will revive it fully even if it kills me which could happen if it falls over on me while I am working on it Smiling

it actually should not be so bad. I took out the firebeat yesterday and tore it apart. I will be putting it all together when I get home tonight, to get a good test run. worse case i will have to buy a new monitor or I may just get a LCD to put in there since it uses a standard VGA connector

oh complete song list is here if you are intereseted
