Official Banquet Information!
Hi, folks. Banquet Coordinator here to answer a few questions, present pertinent information, and make a request of you.
First off, let me apologize for any confusion that you may have about the event. Suffice it to say, I've been just as perplexed at times...It's been a rough trip. But rest assured, there will be a banquet sunday morning, in the form of a buffet-style brunch. Yes, that means no choosing between rubber chicken or cardboard beef...We plan on having (gasp!) actual food. Specifically, the fare will be Italian in nature; a variety of high-quality selections, including vegetarian options. Several guests will be in attendance, including numerous voice actors and Duel Jewel.
Unfortunately, logistic problems have conspired to deprive us of online signup for banquet, and I have received several understandably concerned emails on the subject. Again I apologize for the inconvenience; rest assured that signup procedures were not intended to be shrouded in mystery. If you wish to reserve a spot in the banquet, inquire at registration; you should be directed accordingly to where you may pay. The $30 ticket price will remain in place until Sunday, at which point walk-ins will be served, if space allows, for $35. Please direct any further questions or concerns to me, and I will make every effort to resolve them.
Due to the lack of pre-con reservations for banquet, we are, unfortunately, in a tricky logistic situation. As such, I'd ask a small favor of anyone reading who plans to attend. If you are planning on being at the banquet, please leave a comment in this thread mentioning as much, as soon as possible. If you plan on bringing additional guests, let me know that as well. This will help me get a better idea of attendance beforehand, and help keep the food costs somewhere in line with the number of people. Otherwise, those who take too long signing up for banquet may find (horror of horrors!) that we've run out of food. So help us serve you better by giving me a ballpark estimate...I'd really appreciate it.

I (Kim) will be there along with Laura and Alyssa. I was also just wondering, as I have never attended a con banquet before, if there is any kind of dress code or if it's pretty much the same as the rest of the con, cosplayers, casual dress, goths, etc...
Just trying to figure out if I need to pack a nice dress or not

Kim: Dress is really up to individual discretion...It's a brunch affair, in the midst of a bunch of weirdos in costume, so I'm not really that uptight about it. :)

My~~~~ The Banquet was kick ###!!! XDDD It was the best Banquet that I ever attend!!! Although I just talked to Duel Jewel and hadn't eat anything XDD But yea~~~I love the Banquet ^^~

um...this may be a stupid question but...I've kinda never been to a banquet...what do you do there? :blush: I want to go cause I'll be there that morning but...I didn't know what to expect.
oohh banquet is so much fun! ^^ Basically, you get your food (if you're going to eat) then sit down at a table with one of the special guests that will be there (there are usually like one or two special guests per table) and you get to hang out and talk one on one with the guests. I had a lot of fun hanging out with Shun last year at the banquet. :D
Anyway, I wanted to let you know that my friend and I are most definately planning on attending banquet this year.
