Hall Cosplay Canceled Temporarily for 2006!
As there are so many other events this year reguarding cosplay, we unfortunatly are canceling hall cosplay, but encourage everyone to still enter the masquerade or Amano Cosplay Showcase.
Due to the split between the Hilton and the George R Brown Convention Center, the idea of doing an annonymous hall cosplay judging the way I'd like it done is a bit too soon. We will, however, have a full Hall Cosplay next year. First, we'd like to finalize that we will not have anymore mistakes with our other events.
In the mean time, please keep these other cosplay events in mind:
+Main Cosplay / Masquerade
+Masquerade Ball
+The Amano Cosplay Showcase
+Cosplay Video Contest
+Cosplay Musical Production
+Cosplay Panels
+Live Cosplay Production Demonstrations
+J-Rock Cosplay and Fashion Show
While losing Hall Cosplay this year is sad, it will give us time to focus on all of our other events, and make sure that we no longer have loose ends.

Hall cosplay is like..the best part of the convention...if you just mean hall cosplay JUDGING is cancelled, that's cool, but if we aren't allowed to dress up and walk around the halls...
no worries, it's not like they can stop us!! i sure am,
it's half the fun of cons to run around and scare all the poor normal people!!!!

yesh,, but WHY would they??
at shio last year the volunteers petitioned to get to cosplay while on duty,
it wouldn't be any fun to see them NOT in cosplay, if your volunteering!!
andway the post would say if they weren't going to allow us to hall costume at ALL, they would make it VERY CLEAR in BIG LETTERS EVERYWHERE
and then a bunch of people would get pissed and not some to the con.

They are referring to a hall cosplay COMPETITION with judging... you can cosplay anywhere you want, no one will stop you... they just don't have the resources to judge people in the hallways with all that is going on and the great space involved... oh, and by the way... CHERRY, YOU RULE!!!!!!!
We can't cosplay in the halls?! WTH?! That's messed up because...it just is!! So we gotta walk around in our original clothes... GAH ><
