Volunteer Form

For any of you who haven't noticed, the volunteer form is up and running. I'm still sorting through how many peoples I need for how many things, etc, so I can't really say if I have enough. What I can say though is this: if you emailed me before, make sure you fill out the form. Anyone who did email me before gets priority, but they get nada if they don't fill it out.

If you didn't fill if out, you can still do so and I'll take you on a first-come first-serve basis. Lemme clarify a few things people have asked. First off, to my knowledge we don't really have any crash rooms. The best I can offer is try to get a group together and you can split the cost of a room. More people=less cost (plus bigger con :wink1:). Volunteers DO get their badge cost waved, since they're working for us. And, to quote someone who emailed me, you get "the satifaction of knowing [you] spent [your] time in the service of others."

As soon as I know thinks for certain, I'll email potential volunteers to confirm they still can and want to volunteer and don't mind doing what I've assigned and when. (But if you turn something down because you don't like it, there's no second chance.) I plan to start my SPAMing next week. :P

On other little thing, since our form is still new and mostly untested, it doesn't have gaming on it. So I keep seeing it in the "other" category. The only problem is that we have several types of gaming - arcade, console, live action RP, and I thought regular RP, though I'm not certain on that. So can you try to specify which you mean for me? If you've already volunteered, you should be able to go in and change it to something a little more clear. It'd be much appreciated.

If you're unclear of how to get to volunteer registration, or how to get it to work, it's fairly simple. Just log into the board then click Registration -> Volunteer Registration. Sweet?

Whoot! Demau is all on top of things - YAY!

I can testify that he's been working on volunteers bunches, as I've seen his nifty setup. Ya'll can rest assured its all organized and nifty this year.

So if you have any questions just ask Demau, he'll help ya out.

Oh - one other thing. If you're a night person like me and don't mind missing a little sleep (or sleeping at odd hours), well - some of our stuffs run 24 hours - like the video rooms and the arcade. So we'll need some people for those. Make a note in the special request field if you wouldn't mind those shifts.

Hello, i feel weird posting here but um i guess i'll try, please don't hurt me if i did something bad :o

I've been trying to get to someone since A-kon back during the summer awhile back, i am really interested in going and have convention skills :smile1:

i've worked as dealer, watchman for arcade, video room, i even made food for the volunteers ^_^

i would love to hear from anyone that can help me through, i sent my volunteer application earlier but i want to make sure i'm good to stay because i stay all 3 days at every convention i go to, once again, sorry if i'm not suppose to post here, thank you for reading this post -_-

Hey Cal,

By volunteering you should get an e-mail soon. You can sign up for whatever you want to do whether it is Security or Video rooms. :D Almost everyone gets a chance. Also if you have questions feel free to message one of us. We are willing to help you out.

Um, I'm a bit of a nite owl and like workin vid rooms in the dark wee hours when sane people sleep. It's a habbit of mine.

That was actually from last year... we are currently working on the form right now and hope to have it up soon.
