Oni-Con 07 was a blast despite problems with my hotel and transportation.

I just wanted to say that I throughly enjoyed the convention! In the end I may have spent too much money but I think it was well worth it. With the panels, the cosplayers, and all the wonderful stuff in the Dealers room I had an absolute blast in the convention.

Outside of the convention, things sucked. Seriously. At many conventions I do my part to "Fight the funk" and make sure to clean up regularly. However my hotel made that hard. The Holiday Inn Express just 2 blocks from the convention had a "plumbing issue" they said which resulted in no cold water running in my room. So in order to clean up I had to take a sponge bath with steaming hot water. Had I tried to take a shower it would have resulted in burns. Just being under the stream long enough to rinse my skin turned a bright red and it took 20 min to be able to get dressed afterwards. And it wasn't limited to one day. My whole stay was that way.

Oh well, enough of the bad, on with the good!

I took a number of pictures over the con weekend, and was looking for a good place to start posting them for others to enjoy. When I find a place I will post it to the forum.

^ did they at least try to move you into a different room? or was it for all hotel rooms? you should have complained to the manager because that isn't fair at all.
