Shiokaze 2008?

i've heard so many rumors about shio 08 from various people, (non of them extremely credible or anything) and all i can say is that i really really hope it comes back....shio was just amazing!

Ehh, I have heard some of the rumors too. I couldn't say for sure.

Shiokazecon coming back is about as likely as a Led Zepplin reunion tour complete with Bonham.

I don't see why the dealer's would lie about Shiokazecon coming back. I knew some dealer's were less than tasteful,but still.

well,

I talked with one of the founders of Kamikazecon which latter developed in to shiokazecon and he said they were thinking about doing another one.

however with all the cons now in houston alone

also animematsuri now has the dates Kami/shio used. it would be crazy if you started to have convention compeating for the same weekend in the same city. jeez.

reminds me of when I had a few friends that followed the greatfull dead around. Now maybe you will have people following the cons around. pretty soon you will have a anime con going on every weekend.

well, they could always go for dates not being used, like march, may, july or something....

honestly, with anime matsuri's first con's performance, i think shio has a really good chance of winning if they had to compete...i know i'd go to it before i'd go to anime-m

and besides i don't think yami is going to be so spectacular or have a great turnout, considering that its about 2 months away, and there isn't even like, 5 topics on their forum because no one has uipdated anything....least of all their not-so-great website, which is, at least for me, a deciding factor as to whether i'd go, so after the first year, i'm sure most of the new one's won't survive (i'm not trying to bash them or anything, just trying to state what will probably happen)

Anime Matsuri is having it's convention in March.So that means,the April 26-28*08?* time slot is open once again.

Seriously, I dunno where you guys are getting your information, and as far as I'm concerned, he wanted me to spread this message to let you know its not coming back.
