Atsuicon is being held at the Crown Plaza Hotel (Sofitel) in Houston, TX. Tired of conventions that keep happening in the GRB? Well, this hotel is fancy as filigree! It’s perfect for beautiful photoshoot set ups! It has not only a pool, but also a gym and the most gorgeous tropical garden outside!

Guests!
Atsuicon set a record on the amount of guests for a first year con! Over 30+ guests! That’s more than what even A-kon had! And just to name a few… Expect cool voice actors like Carrie Savage, Kyle Hebert, Samantha Inoue Harte, Wendy Powell, Stephanie Nadolny, the Ayres brothers and others! Over fifteen voice actors total! We have both Industry guests and Artist guests such as Anime Hell, Sky Pirate, Solis Martial Arts Academy, Amada T., Chris Hazelton, and plenty others! Not just that, but Atsuicon also got the special cosplay guest Lilyxandra from Firefly-Path!!

Dealers and Artist Alley!
Atsuicon went out of its way to get dealers from all over to provide a huge array of different items for you to choose from! Everyone will have awesome cool new stuff to sell, not just the same old, same old Naruto and Bleach - we have variety! We even went so far as to have some of the lowest prices for booths of any convention around in order to let the dealers lower their prices so items will be even cheaper for you to buy in the dealer‘s room!

AMV Contest!
Bring your AMV to Atsuicon! An AMV contest will take place throughout the convention with your AMV being shown in the viewing room repeatedly until the contest itself. Just bring the AMV on CD to the con! For more details, check out the website.

Viewing Rooms!
Don’t forget the viewing rooms are 24-hours! Check out the latest-and-next-greatest with episodes from newly acquired anime, classic hits, and future wonders! (It’s also a great place to hide from fan girls or just to rest your feet, heh.) Also, new, is the “Viewing Room Badge!” This badge is FREE and allows you access to the convention viewing rooms only, but not the rest of the convention. Also, there will be two separate viewing rooms, one for Hentai Fest and the other for Yaoi Fest!

Art Show!
Show off your Art at Atsuicon and participate in the art auction too! Simply bring in your Art to Atsuicon and we’ll put it up in the show. No annoying mail-ins or deadlines. It’s on a walk-in, first come, first served basis, so hop to it!

There will be all sorts of contest! You have the general Cosplay contest, including Ero Genki, but now you also have AMV contests, Video game contests and tournaments and Card tournament too! Check all of them out! Plus, the new Dance Contest! DJ Laen's Tokyo Underground & Dance Contest! It’s not only a dance contest, it’s also a break dance contest too! You don’t want to miss this! Two Cosplay Contests!!
This is what everyone has been waiting for! Atsuicon is holding not one, but TWO different cosplay contests! And you can participate in both! First up, is the time tested and approved Anime Cosplay Contest! General rules apply to for this one. Make sure to sign up! Then, a few hours later, Ero Genki Contest takes place! This is the first Ero Genki contest ever at any anime convention! This cosplay contest is for outfits that are a bit on the more risky side (like Morigan and Felicia from Darkstalkers or Camy from Street Fighter). Basically, it’s a contest to showcase your cosplay outfit that you have worked hard on, but would otherwise not want to wear in public or that other cons won’t allow you to wear due to crazy new and strict cosplay rules. Ero Genki was created for the hardworking cosplayer that wants to show off their riskier outfit when other cons won’t let you! Rules still apply, of course, including NO nudity or excessive naughtiness. The Anime Cosplay Contest has many prizes to give away and Ero Genki alone has a total of $500 in cash to award, so don’t be shy and participate!

Video Game Room!

Not only will the room provide a huge assortment in games (including THREE Wii stations!!), but it will also screen gaming videos (including FF: Advent Children!!!) on a huge projector screen!
