Id like to know a little about Oni Con. Can someone tell me what to expect? My kids want to go and I dont know if it's age appropriate or if there are activities there that my kids should not see.

Oni-Con is an anime convention that's intended to be a family convention. It's been around for 3 years (now almost 4. :3). From my expierience in going to cons throughout Texas, overall they're appropriate for all ages. Aside from the fact that you need proper ID verification to do anything that isn't permissible for minors. But yeah, Glimmung, an amazing member who posts on these forums, has gone since the first Oni-Con, and his entire family goes to cons.
I personally promise you that this con is an all-age event.
The security staff this year has also promised for this to happen as well, if I'm not mistaken.

I would definitely count Onicon as one of the more family-friendly conventions I've been to. It's not as huge as some of the others so the non-apropriate antics are kept to a minimum. Aside from perhaps an occasional 18+ doujinshi box in the dealers room you should be safe. :3
