I only got to go for a little while, so I'm wondering what people thought of it in general, or if anything signifigant or just plain awesome happened while I wasn't there. ^^
I thought the DJ really sucked. He kept playing music that had a lot of beat gaps in it; he talked WAYYY too much before, after, and during the songs, and that pitch modulator he used to make his voice sound like that of a munchkin was just plain annoying.
But it was still fun. Just, could've been a lot better, is all.
There was too much light, but I did have a lot of fun. We kept forming random circles of dance and stuff. I do agree with the person above me about slow beats and all that. On the bright side, I got to catch my breath on those moments of "stillness".
agreeing with the people above
i only stayed till about 12 but all those things proved true.
too much light, too many long pauses where you were left kinda awkward-ish...
i didnt mind the dj's voices too much since he was kinda entertaining
and everyone was pretty generous with the glow sticks
Saturday night's dance a was never meant to be a "rave". The DJ, Greg Ayers is a guest of Oni-con. We invited him to DJ a dance for us on Saturday night. He spins club music, and that is his style. So really, if you were expecting a rave, well there never was one.
I thought it was pretty good. They stopped letting us poi and string around 1:30. I was using beaming poi half the time ^,^; (foolish of meh I know)
The music was a little bit evil. Rave needs a constant beat without random intervals of omnious slow parts with no beat.
It was fun, don't get me wrong, but...

It was way too quiet!!!
Too light as well, I wish more people were there too....
But fun anyways because raves are always fun!
I had a great time both dances where excellent.. agree they could have been better but i had a blast still

Oh, and I had an excellent time of course. :p
I liked it but I'm surprised that it wasn't packed... guess that the hentai fest was popular that night?
i agree about the music x.x it was all "dance dance dance - stop - go - stop............ go? nope! fooldya!"
