Oni-Con 2008 Cosplay Contests?
from what i read about last year, the skits are from the anime itself and stuff, but what about 2008? have any rules changed? and i'd also like to know if a group of people can cosplay as a group[ex: naruto characters] and do a skit that includes characters and dances from other animes?[hare hare yukai?]
yes, you can incorporate stuff from other animes, but keep in mind that the hare hare yukai dance in skits, while fun, is pretty overdone at this point.
also, oni-con 08 is about 8 months away, and the kind of stuff you're looking for will probably not be added until a few months beforehand. The rules from last year are a pretty good guideline as the only thing that usually ever really drastically changes is the weapon's policy.
If you read the threads from last year, you will find a lot of the information you're asking for. Also, looking up skits on youtube will give you some good examples of crossover material and such.
The pocky skit was awesome...
