Twilight, IMO, isn't really as good as it's made out to be. Ever read other vampire books, for example, any by Amelia Atwater-Rhodes? They are much more engaging and show a very intense vampire, while Twilight's vampires are, needless to say, 'flawless' and 'godlike'. =/ The way it's all written out is just very surreal and is unlikely. I have read the first two books and gave up after that, for, IMO, New Moon was a complete epic failure. I say, how many months did she just be in a coma-like state? For a person to have that much hold over one is unhealthy, and her relationship with Edward shouldn't have even gotten that far in. Besides, teen romances never last out of high school, so why should theirs have done so?
Meh. I don't feel like getting deeper into my reasons for feeling that Twilight just has more attention than it deserves. =/ It just infuriates me when people think that Twilight is the only good book out there (And trust me, I've seen people like that at my school) when there are so many books that are much more engaging.
1: She asked what you were going to be cosplaying as. Not a long winded whiny review about some stupid book that she'll probably grow out of sooner or later.
2: I much rather much see one or so of someone cosplaying as a character from Twilight than fifity or more repetitive Bleach or Naruto cosplay! But hey! Just because I don't give a damn about Bleach or Naruto doesn't mean that somebody else might not find it "worthy" enough to cosplay from. Only difference is that unlike YOU, I don't get up on my soapbox at a "cosplay" oriented forum and pretty much shit all over them for wanting to cosplay as a character from a series that I might not like or not care for. (Twilight included, never even read it) Last time I checked, there were also animes that are ALLOT more engaging then Bleach and Naruto. But I'm not going to go and tell fans that it's not "worthy" enough to cosplay from, as sick of I am of seeing it, because I can't really stop them anyway. Might as well just let them have their "fun". Gee! Isn't that one of the main reasons people cosplay in the first place? "Fun"?
Whether you were just trying to harmlessly state your SO important opinion on some stupid book on a "cosplay" oriented forum when nobody didn't even ask you for it, it was pretty much done in bad taste! You basicly went and shit all over her for wanting to cosplay from a series that you don't like by saying that isn't wasn't "worthy enough" for your holyness! Saying something like that pretty much to the persons "face" is pretty much in "bad taste" no matter what you think! That's basically going and shooting down somebody else's decision at dressing up as something you don't like! Just because we have the free will to say whatever we want, doesn't mean we have to go and shit all over somebody who wanted to simply dress up as a character from a series that you don't like. i agree, twilight is not an anime, manga, or video game. and also i hate the series.
