Tournaments for 2008
OK,
sorry It has taken me so long to get this together. I am will be updating more during the week but will last the main tournaments. Prizes will be determinded by number of signup. I will list prizes later
1. King of fighters 98 Ultimate match (PS2)
2. Super smash brothers Brawl (Wii)
3. King of Fighter Mira (arcade cab)
4. Soul calibur 4 (Tenative waiting on confirmation)
5. Dance Dance revolution X (PS2)
6. Rockband 2 (Tenative)
7. SF III strike (PS2)
8. Super SF II turbo HD (Xbox 360/PS3)
Also I will have several mini tournaments to be thrown on a my on Whim for whatever I feel like :) I will be giving away Grab Bag Prizes for the winners of these. could be a guilty gear, beat mania, Halo, etc. just so everyone can play and enjoy winning something.
also I will do a better job with the DDR tournament this year.
Note for tournaments.
I will have a print out and time for when each tournament starts both in the room and at the registration table
when the start time approach those in for the tournament will line up so if you want to attend the tournament then you need to be there at start time
all tournament are free to enter.

I like to spread the tournaments out but I also realize not alot of peope stick around for sundays.
can you do a naruto ex 3 tournament as well?
I will probably have a min naurto tournament, however nothing scheduled more impromptu. just depends how the other tournaments go. also I do not have anything unlocked on it and probaly will not by the time it come in.
i have an ex2 save file and i read that if you have an ex2 save file you can unlock most of the chracters in ex3 with it. i can bring my japanese wii and we can run ex3 on it if you want. if you dont want to do a tournament for it, could i run a small tournament for it?
ok,
so I try not to schedule to many tournaments for several reasons,
1. I limited tournaments to what I can realistically handle, responsibly
2. Tournaments are sponsored by SNK-Capcom.com, or by me (rant deleted, sorry)
3. I want to be able to give stuff to more people (i.E. mini tournaments with grab bags)
4. have a limited number of T.V.'s and consoles.
so depending on how the days go I maybe able to fit in a naurto ex3 tournament at least a small one (maybe limit to 32 people) but I will need to use my japanese wii for it and only have one.
also I do not allow modified consoles (so the can play copyrighted games), bootlegs or copyright infringing games in the room (stepmania, mujin, etc.)
of course I want everyone to have fun so I will have the game there for play, however the convention tournaments are controlled so it is not just someone showing up with a game, putting down a piece of paper and taking signup just like we do not allow people going into the theaters and putting on a fansub or playing movies.
probably more infromation then you wanted to hear :) just know I will probably have a tournament on it but it will be according to how the other tournaments go and when I can fit it in so right now not ready to schedule it.
I will give a 30 min anouncement in the convention hall when it should be done.
sorry i wasnt try to step on any toes, just wanted to offer help for ex3. i have an actual japanese wii, its not moded. would it be okay if i recorded casuals during the day for ex3? just wanted to know before hand so i'll know whether i should bring my laptop to record matches. thanks

anyway yes bring your console. I am planning a schedule for the big screen and I Will have when ex is played on there. as far as the other console area it is more adhoc on what people want and what systems are available.
no need to apologize, the more info the better. i was going to bring my japanese wii and naruto gnt4 as well for casuals. no worries if you dont want to do a tournament for ex3 or gnt4, i just want to be able to play naruto next weekend lol. if there are extra tvs available is it okay to run games we bring to the con. my cousin was going to bring his 360 and mortal kombat vs dc universe. sorry for all the questions, just want to make sure i run things by you before me and my cousin plan on bringing our consoles and games to the con. thanks for getting back to me so quickly everytime, i really appreciate it.
I was just wondering if you could give me any information on these two games for tournaments. Especially halo 3, me and a couple freinds really want to see this at oni con. So any information on this would be really appreciated.
