I wanted to ask if there was any way Sky Pirate could be put on the guest list ^-^ Our entire group absolutely love his work and I personally love working with him.
I'm going to have to agree with you regarding SkyPirate.
He's been to every con I've ever been to, and he does indeed have amazing photography. That, and he's good conversationalist all the times I've talked to him.
I agree as well. I have worked with Eric for many years at conventions and he is one of the most trusted photographers I know. He is polite and treats ALL with respect. I hope he can make it to ONI-CON this year. I would pay for his badge myself to have him join us. HINT HINT ERIC!!!!!./DOC
Please, please, please invite SkyPirate to this year's Oni-Con!!!
He's hillarious, he's an old school anime fan, and he takes some of the most amazing cosplay photos ever. I too have been to many a conventions over my 4years attending, and he's right there shooting photos at nearly every one. He's incredibly personable and polite and although he might be a little quite, he is also the most trusted photographer I know.
I would also be more than happy to pay for SkyPirate's badge, but I believe that its time to actually invite Eric to Oni-Con. I think he deserves it because he's that awesome.
I talked to Sky Pirate at AnimeFest. He said he would definately try and make it to Oni-Con. Let's hope everything goes right for him. If any of you have been photographed by him and have his contact information, you should tell him how much he's wanted at this convention!
Alright in regards to Sky Pirate I have to set a few things straight:
It seems that I was mistaken as to what the exact details of our conversation at AnimeFest were. I apologize to not only Sky Pirate, but those whom I might have given false hope to. However!
I'd like to encourage everyone to keep showing your support for one of the most respected photographers in Texas anime conventions. For those of you who have not seen his work (especially cosplayers) you are missing out. His ability to capture the fine points of cosplay and events, using professional light techniques, and to be able to do so much on the fly is no less than amazing. I have not met a single cosplayer who was not happy with their photos taken by him.
I've seen him at A-kon, Anime Fest, Ikkicon, and Anime Matsuri -- And if he can make Anime Matsuri... alright I'll stop there ^_^ Point is let Oni-Con know that WE WANT SKY PIRATE!
Keep letting them know.
Do not relent!
This is Koji saying: We love your work SP and hope you can make it!
