Pretty much cover some PVC piping in insalation, and just cover the fuck outta it with duct tape. I've made a few before for some other event my youth group was having. They aren't relatively hard to make, though complicated weapons can be rather difficult (like a flail or something)
Just to let you guys know though, while you are free to make and use you own designs at home... and weapons you want to bring up and use will have to be checked by me or the other Larp head before they can be used. If you have any questions, comments, or desire suggestions- feel free to post them. While I cannot promise you they will be cleared, I'll do what I can from here to try and help you avoid anything that might get them denied.
Also a quick suggestion, there are and will be alot more weapons next year, make sure to have some sort of unique identifying mark on yours so it is not stolen/mistaken for someone elses.
kool that will work. awsome i loved how you all organized it
you stole most of the crowds for all 3 days XD you all where that good i sugest coming to atsui we would love to have you all there.
p.s who can you make sheilds and staffs it looks really hard O.o?
Hop onto the other thread in the larp forum, ""Larp" Summary and Closing". I'm explaining how to constuct things there, and offering suggestions on any construction projects.
Really glad you guys had fun, we certainly did... though my voice is still kinda shot from it. :D
We are an Oni-Con only even though, so we'll see you next year!
Well being a Larp player was fun for the week end. I was actually able to go to a level two warrior before they ended the rank matches. The sad thing is for some of us that aren't able to make it on friday, but I shall try next year so that I can raise my level even higher and join the rankings of the level 6/7 crowd. Thank you Ethos for the fun time and I hope to be stronger in the future.
I didn't see a person there who's strength of will and desire to win didn't impress me so you've nothing to worry about on that end. We always try to change things up and make them bigger and better- and people's desire to rank is very apparent to us. Though we don't want everyone to level up too quickly, we do want people to have fun and justly be rewarded for their hard work so the schedule and ranking system may be tweaked a bit next year to reflect that. It's always an ongoing, changing process to make things more fun for everyone.
Glad you have fun, and I hope to see you next year!
The wepons are made from 3/4 PVC pipeing and pipeping insalation, duct tape and electrical tape. All of which can be found at home depot.
