Post-Season Training
For those of you who believe one Battlegrounds Fix is not enough, I will be trying to organize a weekly/bi-weekly/monthly/whatever training session. It will be held on a privately owned plot of land on the North West part of Houston, near the Sam Houston Race Track.
At the moment the moment, it is Bring-Your-Own-Weapon, but I plan to build an inventory of Battlegrounds regulations weaponry over the month of November. If your weapon does not meet Battlegrounds Standards, you will have to get your opponent's permission to use it.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask them here, and I will try and answer them as best I can. I will say this head of time, this is not an officially sanctioned Battlegrounds event, so unfortunately, you will not be able to rank up for Oni-Con's Battlegrounds. However, if enough people agree, and once I have a stock of regulation weapons, we can start our own ranking system for this group (though certain rules may need to be changed concerning level ups since those where created to allow a large group of people to rank up quickly over the course of 3 days).

is your land in like, the middle of rural nowhere, or is it in a relatively developed area but just an undeveloped piece of land?
The area that it is in is just now starting to develop. It had been classified as a flood plain for a while, but not anymore. And since Gessner is going to be extended right past it, the area is getting developed pretty quick.
In short, the second guess.
Oh, I forgot to mention this, but there IS a stereo out there already. All you have to do is move it to one of the large doors and point the speakers outside.
ok, i was a little worried about going out into like the middle of a forest or something with a bunch of guys i don't really know (no offense, but you never really know what could happen), but since its in civilization, i figure that should be fine XD
lol well you at least know you would have one person to protect you lol, even if they dont need my help i always try to protect my friends hehe
HEY! I consider myself a chivalrous man. I couldn't let a lady come to harm (padded sticks are where I draw the line). I mean, my family owns a couple hundred acres near a small town called Marquez, Texas, but I don't see a need to drive all the way over there.
If it makes you feel better, my dad's shop is right next to a glass place and a machine shop, with a brick business and at least 2 auto shops right across the street and a neighborhood just down the road. Heck, people who come will have their choice of 3 different pizza places and a really good Chinese food place for delivery that are all within a 5-10 mile radius (there are a lot more that will deliver, but those are the ones that are closest).
And you may not be the only female there. One of my friend's little sister is interested in joining.
So, so far we have 9 people, myself included. Ethos and his brothers, if they are able to make time, would bring the total to 12. That ain't that bad of a count, if you ask me (3 of the people are my friends, and the 4th is one of my other friend's sister. He might join). 9-12 people ain't bad. Hopefully when this gets more organized, we can get more people to join.
i didn't mean to offend you or anything, i'm sure you are all honorable guys (it was mainly my mother that was worried anyway), but with all the crap you see on tv, you just never can tell about people...i guess i've just been watching too much law and order, lol...wow, thats a lot of people, we could play games with that many!

I think I might put up an area in the website for meet ups like someone suggested. Only question is, how you people want to post your information for people to get in contact with you?

Well, I was thinking about having certain people who are able and willing to host practice sessions in their area being the ones who have their information up. Sort of like what Psyden has already done.

With the basic information above listed so people who find themselves in that area can get in touch with the person running the practice session and ask permission to join in. So for that, I'd need people interested in hosting said events to speak up and toss me their information. All I ask that for the contact information, please give a way for people to legitimately get in contact with you. If you only check you e-mail once a month for instance, or less, it is likely not a good idea to put your e-mail down as your contact information.
