Site Security Issue: Expired SSL Certificate for Purchasing Badges

The SSL certificate on secure.oni-con.com, which is used to purchase the con badges has expired. The expiration date was on 9/15/07 and needs to be renewed ASAP. With the the end of pre-reg coming up, more people are going to buy their badges (like me).

I've sent an email through the contact form and am also posting on the forums so other people can wait until the certificate has been renewed before buying their badges.

It doesn't seem like they read this section of the forums or anything that comes in through the contact form on the site as well. I even tried so far as calling the number on the whois information for oni-con.com, but its a dead number. Nice.

I saw where it would pop up

I saw where it would pop up that notice but if you click on the continue button it will continue with the pre-registration

It pops up, yet all the data

It pops up, yet all the data going on there is unecrypted. So not unless someone is running some sort of ssh tunnel with there browsing capping on https, all your personal info is out there for someone to take. Very big security issue!

pre-reg

i know i have spent the last month waiting for the site to pre-reg and i have yet to see anything or any change and ya i don t think they look at this section of the forms but they have changed teh pre-reg date to oct. 7 so thats good but it doesn't matter if they dont get their new regestration system up and working T . T

Yeah I'm thinking on just mailing in the money. V___V Though it would ease my anxiety to do it online. But we will see. If it's not up and working by Wendesday, I'm mailing it. >< Though I DON'T want to have to reside to doing that but I do what I must to not pay 40 bucks! TT^TT
