They're not responsible for your absences, neither are they your school/school district, or have any policy of any sort not letting you go to a con when you're supposed to be at school.
Haha, it was mandatory for me to skip the Friday that Shiokazecon took place if you went that con back in 2006.
As long as you think it's ok to come on Friday, then it's all gravy as far as I'm concerned.
Either way, a lot of the staff is in my age range or so (I'm 19 btw).

We don't have any policy regarding minors skipping school. That's between said minor and their parents.

I've never had someone threaten me, though they probably should because I break teh rules on school a bit >.>
If they go let them go.... it's on them anyway.
