Sorry, meant for them to put up the name as "Oni-Con Battlegrounds (Larp)" so that people would recognize it, but there was a miscommunication with the webmaster.
The event started off as a Vampire the Masquerade Larp, and we just brought the weapons to play with and bide time until the event started. Some people came, saw us- joined in and had fun. then more, and more. By the time Larp rolled around we had about seven people there for the actual Larp, and about 40 there for the combat, so we decided to just keep running it. (Seven people is way to few people for a Vlarp game anyways.)
And so, year for year, people came to incorrectly come to know the event as "Larp" and we are trying to shift away from that.
Rest assured we will definitely still be there though, we have a blast with the event and really enjoy everyone who comes by. It's become a pretty popular Oni-Con event and we are very proud of our players who come year after year to compete.
