Nippon Daido (Japanese Market)

Here is a real Japanese market. It's on Wilcrest and Westheimer (West Chase area). It's in the same shopping strip with Budget Japan. Check it out! Get real Japanese food for the con! They speak English too just to let you know, but speak slow and clearly.

I've gone :D

I've totally been there once. It was pretty cool going in there, but I like the whole Asian district of Houston (and some of the places that aren't exactly in the district but are still Asian).

ahaha...after reading this

ahaha...after reading this topic, i went and tortured my dad[kept his cigarettes hostage] to take me to nippon daido...we got salmon. yum. O3O t'was fishy. and the entire place was really cute. :D and the clerks speak japanese! well, not really, they just knew how to ask my dad if he wanted ice[which *I* had to translate for him] and thank you...interesting little place. funnily enough, most of the stuff i can read...o.o i'm so asian...lol when we were checking out the fish...

dad: what's this one say? i can't read it without my glasses...
me: *automatically* unagiyaki.
dad: what?
me: *whacks self on head* i mean fried eel.
dad: what about this one? *picks up another package*
me: how should i know?
dad: how did you know the other one was eel?
me: there was ENGLISH, dad.

p.s. they speak english fine.
