If it's cool with Big Bruno and the rest of the volunteers, Mr. 3000 and myself are more than willing to set up and run the Melee and/or Guilty Gear tourney. Just say the word Big Bruno and it shall be so (we'll also bring multiple copies of the game to make the brackets go quicker).
Why, out of all of Snk's greatest fighters, no one ever throws a Samurai Showdown or Last Blade tournament I would love to see these games! Show some sword fighting spirit, unless your playing Lee Reca.

as for "surprises"...I vote Guilty Gear + Tekken!
