Security Problems

Hello everyone,

If you went to Oni-con this year I would love to hear what you have to say about the hotel, security, anything. I want your honest opinion so that way next year we can improve on the problems of this year. I have heard different things so would like to have it all written out :)

Please put any issues you have here, whether on staff or just a con goer. Together we can make the con better and better every year

Seriously though, security seemed to be doing their thing without going overboard.. it was a pretty secure feeling environment... Of course, I used my dad voice a couple times to get people in line (like when a guy was running very fast in and out of the crowd.. I did my "HEY!" - guy stops- "SAFETY FIRST!"
- guy starts walking instead-)

THank you Security Staff!!!!

I think security did great... I would really like to thank Wolf & Athos for their help with the Amano Q&A & Autograph sessions... and While I know most of the people hated wearing them, I think the orange fabric helped mark the security staff better, so that people knew they were of importance.... Might have to do something simular for the other staff...

Ooo maybe next year instead of shirts, how about colorful armbands with the oni-con logo on it, that would definetly let them know its security, all the while still allowing those who cosplay to keep there costume etc.

I like this idea. It also helps prevent confunk from wearing the same shirt for days.

Those orange armbands did help a lot. Made us easier to find / recognize... I got so many wierd looks for telling people to clear hallways and put their swords away - until people noticed my badge... none after the armbands.
