2007 Security Team!
Hello everyone this year for 2007! This year will hopefully be better then all the rest before it! So lets get ready to have a good time.
If you are interested in being in Security this year please make sure to fill out a volunteer form, they will get to me if you pick security so yay for that!
Once I start to get the e-mails with peoples information I will send out comformation e-mails so be on the look out if you sent in a volunteer form, btw I don't know when these will hit so it maybe closer to con time before all the e-mails get underway. Also if I have not replied to your e-mail by the time of con, don't worry just come talk to me at con and we will probably get you in on security.
Some things this year are going to be different from last year, so be ready for that! Also this year there is no Athos as my night head, he quit last year so we have a new head of my night security Wolf. If you worked at night for me last year you know who he is, if not you will get to meet him.
This is the list of the different roles of security. If you like one more then another in your form let me know that, put that you like Door Nazi over Roamer and I will try to accomidate what you enjoy the most.
Roamer- If you are a roamer you will be walking arounf checking on rooms, seeing how everything is going, watching for fighting, drugs, drinking, sex, stealing etc. IF you come across anything come and get me immediately or find another security person to come get me if you need to stay with the people that are doing such things.
Door Nazi- Its as it says you will be gaurding a door into a room, most times you are protecting the things inside from the people outside, You will have to check badges depending on the door. You will make sure they have a badge, it is for the right day and if you are watching a door that is only certain people allowed you will politely tell people they can't go in.
Crowd Control- This is a very very very people oriented position, and if you can't be nice, polite and respectful make sure I know so your not on this. With Crowd Control you will be controling the crowd, making sure people are in stright lines, in the right lines in the first place, that everyone is doing okay and that the rules are known. You are not allowed to be rude by any means, if you need to yell do it as kindly as you can. This is a hard job and requires alot fo attention to details.

Btw drinking is NOT allowed when your on shift, if you are free for the night (age 21 or over) and want to go drink that is fine just please don't be hung over for your next shift. If you come on shift that way high or drunk, etc. you will be kicked off security with a warning for next year. If it happens again I am sorry but I can't have you on security anymore, we set the example and thats not what we want others to see. If your taken off security you can stay at con but you will need to by a pass. I want you to enjoy your time on security, if you don't like security I don't want you to be on my staff, Thats not to be mean or anything but people that enjoy it work harder and well if your not having fun thats just not good.

I want you to disregard the information above, this year I will not be head of security like I thought because of some unexpected things. If you were hoping to work for me I am very sorry that this year I will not be able to have you. There will be a new head of security for this year, and I am not sure they are looking for people to work for them since I believe they already have a staff, but if you really want to work it sign up and talk to the person that way atleast you will be able to find out if they need more hands then they have so far.
Anyway everyone have a great time and I hope to be able to work with all of yall next year. Thanks for all the hard work and I hope if you make it into the security team that you enjoy it and work hard!

Ahh what the hell!? I just went and sent a volounteer request in and dropped you as this year's head of security! I told you you were stupid for joining! lol anyways hope everything's okay. I went and volounteered for Guest Relations. Can't be Doc's shadow if Doc isn't around.

Hello folks, My name is DOC and I will be your new Security Director for ONICON. I will be posting all the guidlines for weapons/prop policies, dance rules, and so forth here and in a Security thread very soon. My LT Andrew will be accepting emails at for anyone that is interested in being on Security. Andrew will be the person in charge of all my scheduling and volunteers. I have already chosen my LT's and will only be taking volunteers that wish to work hard and move up for next year. For now be patient and when we have the threads up and running volunteers will be notified of their acceptance.
ALL other emails and webpages used by the past staff will not be used by my staff. If you email them I will not know about it. SO the emails to use are:
