Dio’s unique outlook, high quality musical compositions, and exhilarating live performances have made them a band to be watched, while they’ve already gained attention outside of Japan since their first live overseas at the 2007 Japan Expo in Paris, France.
Thanks to that performance, Dio’s new-found popularity in Europe led them to take part in two European tours this year. Their maxi single CARRY DAWN was released in both Japan and Europe on August 6.
The band will soon give their first live performance in America.

Upon hearing the band’s name, the image of two separate bands should come to mind.
Of course, there is the Dio that’s larger than life.
Then there is the Dio that is just “us”.
There are in no way any commonalities between the two sides.
However, upon surveying these two worlds, the Dio that emerges is one that certainly ought to make a splash on the world scene, and if fact, the band is doing just that.
The band is not wild with joy over these circumstances.
Yet after completing our European tour in the spring of 2008, we, Dio are certain that we must not allow ourselves to rest on our laurels.
