The only special rule for those usually in Artist Alley seeking to be in the Dealers Room? No Fan Art. Besides that just take a look over the Dealers Room Registration packet and rules; and we'll see you there! HOTELS
Oni-Con's Host Hotels & Resorts
Oni-Con 2011 has THREE different hotels to choose from so far. All of our hotels are within walking distance of the Galveston Island Convention Center. These hotels are beach-side resorts; and when we say beach side? We mean walk out of your front door and straight out to the beach. On top of everything we've already been planning to do to make things easier on our attendees this year; all three hotels have offered complimentary FREE Self-Parking for all hotel guests that are with the convention. The City of Galveston is thankfully very kind to us and is really assisting us in getting a wide range of reasonable rates. These facilities are also resorts so there are MANY amenities that you receive with your room. It is worth it to concider booking an extra night just to enjoy the city itself. When's the last time you took a vacation? If you had to think about that; it has been too long! Also take time to check out the amazing pools at each hotel. Some hotels even offer fridges and microwaves, and all offer %100 free Internet access in their lobbies and business areas.Check out each hotel's website for details on all of the interesting things each has to offer and have a look around. There are low, medium, and high ranges of hotels and food price options in the area. We're attempting to accommodate all budgets this year; and like to take our convention goers on a trip that's not going to melt holes in your wallet. More amenities will be listed here as we update.Free Parking Available for Hotel Guests of ANY of the 3 Resorts/Hotels Listed here!Mention "Oni-Con" as your group when you book to receive the Discounted Oni-Con Group Rate!Free Shuttle Service Available to and from either major Houston airport. Request upon booking or call the hotel! Mention you're with the Oni-Con Convention Group to receive this special. Free Shuttles will also be running all day long that will offer transportation from the Oni-Con Host Hotels to the Convention Center. Please be sure to get to know Galveston while you are in town! There's so much to do! Under "Maps and Guides" you can find a guide of the Convention and Hotel Area with a list of Grocery Stores, Restaurants, Fun Places, and Attractions in Galveston!Thursday night group rate available at some hotels; please ask them upon bookingThere are still a few other hotels in the area that we are currently negotiating convention discount rates with. The hotels listed so far are offering Free Shuttles to and from the Convention Center, even if the Convention Center is located just a block away. This is for those of you who have costumes or just don't wish to walk that far after a long day of excitement. This is also going to come in handy should we have less than perfect weather.
