ONI-CON WILL INFORM THE LOCAL AUTHORITIES OF ALL ILLEGAL BEHAVIOR IF IT TAKES PLACE WITHIN THE HOTEL AND ONI-CON EVENT SPACES.Costume Policies & Reminders1. Please use good judgment and common sense in general. This is a family friendly convention. Keep all costumes sensible and at a rating acceptable in public. There will be children present. 2. No costume is no costume! If you are not clothed properly, you will be asked to change. This includes having a shirt and shoes at all times. We are using public spaces we rent so the local laws are in effect. No shirt, no shoes, no service. 3. Please make sure your costume uses non-see through material over the private body parts. Once again remember there will be children present. 4. No profanity displayed on the clothing or costume. 5. Those who abuse this policy will be subject to removal from the convention without refund from the convention or the Hotel. 6. Remember you will also be walking through public areas. How you act and represent yourself will reflect upon the convention as well. Safety Staff Dress CodeNo one is allowed to wear any costumes, cosplay gear, or similar while on duty. For small items, you may wear them at your discression, however keep in mind that if the item can hinder your performance in any way, I will ask you to remove it. Safety Staff are not allowed to wear clothing with spikes/chains/straps or anything of the sort. If we have a Staff Shirt you will be expected to wear it any time you are on duty. If not, then any shirt is fine so long as it is in good taste with no suggestive writing or profanity on it. Shoes: I don't mind so much about your shoes so long as they are close toed (No Sandals or Flip Flops). Honestly think about your selection though. There can be shifts where you spend a lot of time on your feet, and while the knee high hard leather dragon boots seemed like a good idea at the time, you will hate yourself for not wearing something more comfortable. Dress Professional, and people will treat you as such. *This is key. Take pride in your appearance.Safety & Volunteer Crash Space1. No Drinking in Crash Space2. No Parties in Crash Space3. The room you are assigned is your room for the con. Don't try to gain entry into the other Safety Rooms.4. Do not steal from your Crash Space5. Remember that your Crash Space has a Shower available to you.6. Treat your Crash Space-Mates with respect. We are all one big happy Safety Family.7. Keep in mind that there can be up to 10 people per room, so it's likely you are not always going to get a bed. I recommend bringing a pillow/blanket as a just in case.8. No one under the age of 18 is allowed in Crash Space for ANY reason. Yaoi and Yuri Paddles Okay, folks! Let's get to an understanding here. We at Oni-Con know the paddles may be sold in the dealer's room know these items are very popular BUT too many people continue to swing them around and hit each other and others in close proximity. Oni-Con does not mind you buying them and carrying them in your hands, BUT the FIRST TIME YOU ARE REPORTED OR CAUGHT SWINGING IT OR STRIKING ANOTHER INIDIVUDAL the paddle will be taken away until Sunday of the convention. Depending on the harm caused by your actions this may also result in your removal from Oni-Con. We believe that it is fair to give you guys a chance to keep each other in line rather than us completely ban these items. Make sure others do not ruin the convention for everyone by reporting any of this activity. Let's all have fun and be safe doing it. Thanks. -Oni-Con Staff-
